Pickup is from Adelaide city hotels between 8:50 and 9:10 am (Glenelg costs extra), and the eight-hour day runs Mount Lofty Summit, Beerenberg, a tasting at The Lane Vineyard, Melba’s Chocolate, Woodside cheese, a two-course German lunch with a beer or wine in Hahndorf, an hour on Main Street and a last tasting at Sidewood. Choose your own cellar doors: hop-on hop-off
The hop-on hop-off tour leaves the Stamford Plaza on North Terrace at 10 am, or Hahndorf Academy at 10:50, and loops around Hahndorf roughly once an hour. You get off at up to four stops and are back in the city at about 5 pm. The $71 from-price is for joining in Hahndorf; the city pickup costs about $79. Discover Hahndorf is a six-hour day built around the village: Mount Lofty, Beerenberg, Melba’s, a gourmet lunch at The Haus with a beer or wine, then about two hours of free time. The Hahndorf e-bike tour rides between a wine flight at Shaw + Smith and a tasting at The Lane, with an Udder Delights cheese board and strawberry picking at Beerenberg in season.
